Keep McKinney's ACT Intact
UNDER RE-CONSTRUCTION! We're re-tooling this site to be an information clearing house for ACT advocates. Please visit again soon. If you want to see the original site, click here.McKinney’s ACT Academy In February 2002, the McKinney ISD Administration lit a fire under the students and parents of the ACT Academy when they unexpectedly sent a letter home with the ACT students proposing to phase out the Middle and High School grades and revert the campus to an elementary school. The proceedings from that point on are well documented in this website and can be found in the Original Keep ACT Intact site option on the menu. This website will now be used as a communication tool for parents, students, staff, and other interested community members concerning activities during this transition year at ACT. Please feel free to comment on this site and to contact any of the PFLA, Site-Based Committee, and Transition Team members through this site. A discussion forum is also available to be used for topics as the year progresses. Memos and notes from the school and committees will be posted so everyone can keep informed about proceedings at the ACT. The ACT Academy is a special place. Please schedule a tour and visit the campus. Applications for attendance are also available on this site and ALL McKinney ISD Students are welcome to apply.
