Tracy Hooper Web Design Flag Page —
Free Downloadable Images of the American Flag
In the days immediately following September 11, 2001, I tried to find a large image of the American Flag on the internet to print out and tape on my car window; I could find none suitable. But I did find a site that described the proportions of the American Flag, so I made my own with Paintshop Pro 7. I have saved the image in various sizes and have published them here to share with any who are interested.
These are suitable for printing on your color printer and taping to windows, or as images on your own web page. Print them out on iron-on sheets for Tee shirts. Regular images are three-colors and are as compressed as much as possible. The higher quality images are anti-aliased for smoother-appearing stars and are somewhat larger in file size, therefore slower to download.
Since I'm not doing much web design business any more, keeping this site up is becoming a financial burden. If you truly appreciate these flag images and want to keep them available, please donate a buck or two to help keep this page online. Thank you!
If you want to use any of these images on your own web site, you must make copies of them at your own web site and use your own copies as SRC in your IMG tags. (Just right-click on the desired image and, depending on your browser, select "Save image as..." or "Save picture as..."). Unfortunately, I have had to disallow direct linking to these images due to the impact on my bandwidth quota.
This animated waving flag is from 3DFlags.com
I also made this candle image; it is also free if you want it. Just right-click on it and "save-image/picture-as" to your own computer. It works best on a background of color #000066.
